YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR ORDER

Have you ever walked into a restaurant? Anyone at all? Mr. Biggs? KFC? Sheraton? Have you ever tried just going in sitting and not ordering anything? Let’s start at the very beginning…
Let’s start at the ‘Iya Bunmi’ level, for our brothers and sisters who have not walked into a restaurant before. Let’s assume you are very hungry, the hungriest you’ve ever been, and you walk into Iya Bunmi’s counter and just stand there, you don’t order anything, you’re not carrying a plate, you’re just standing. Please do not be surprised when she sends you away (with a broom, if you were standing too close) with all the Holy Spirit and hunger in you because you’d be blocking other customers from buying what they want.
Now to the Mr. Biggs and KFC category, in this kind of places someone would be there to open the door for you (that’s some sort of V.I.P treatment). After entering, you don’t walk up to the counter, you just sit at a table and start watching TV (let’s not forget that you are very hungry). Again don’t be surprised if you’re politely walked out by the same person that opened the door for you.
Now let’s see what happens at Sheraton. The door is opened for you (V.I.P), you take a seat (in this case that’s what you’re supposed to do, a waiter walks up to you with a menu (V.V.I.P), asks you to glance through and walks away so that you can have time to decide what you want (V.V.V.I.P), he comes back to take your order and you say “I don’t want anything” or “you can see that I am hungry, bring me food”. Once again you would be politely asked to leave.
In all of these cases, it wasn’t that you didn’t have money or you were not hungry, the only offense was that YOU DID NOT MAKE YOUR ORDER. As the meaning of the word implies, to ‘order’ is to ‘make a demand’ or to ‘ask for something. These same rules apply in the Kingdom of Heaven—
In Mark 11:23, Jesus said “whatsoever you shall say to this mountain…”, that’s Iya Bunmi
In Mark 11:24, Jesus said “whatever thing you desire, when you pray…”, that’s Mr. Biggs/KFC
In Luke 18:41, Jesus said to the blind beggar, at Jericho, “What will you that I shall do unto you”, that’s Sheraton baby!!!
As a Christian you have the liberty to choose which of these ‘restaurants’ you want to dine in, you have the currency of heaven (you’re born again), you’re hungry (you have needs) and you have come to the restaurant (prayer) all that is left is for you to order and the angels would run to get them for you.
Some Christians have the habit of praying like this: “God you know my needs and the things that trouble me, provide them for me Lord and take care of my troubles”. You can be sure that God would say something like: “My dear child, you haven’t ordered anything “. God wants you to MAKE AN ORDER! It is your divine right as a Christian!
Just before you run off to the heavenly restaurants, there’s just one more thing you have to remember: in everything give thanks. So don’t forget to say “thank You” before (for the previous delivery) and after ordering. Shalom!

LETTER TO MY UNBORN CHILD continues. Read on...

The story continues... In life we seek to hear from God, a sign as the Jews sought for in the days of the prophets, yet when we are presented by these signs we are too blinded by our own fears and doubts that we fail to see the handwriting on the wall. Such a beauty it was to have seen God touch down on earth to complicate our lives by giving us blessings disguised in the form of crosses that we can bear. Such a jolly it would have been to face the world   bearing each others crosses and atoning for our sins as well as the sins of many by diligently going through life with the burden of an "unexpected" pregnancy. Yes "unexpected" is the word and not unwanted because I know how much I wanted you. I know how much I always wondered if I would ever have you. I know how many dreams I had hoped would come true when you came and I would have lived up to expectations as a father and husband. I prayed for a day you would come but I never expected you to come so so

LETTER TO MY UNBORN CHILD. I hope you like my post. Its inspired by true events around me. Please comment and share. Thank You

July 4, 2013 Dear Junior,     You might never know it my dear son but I've never been more proud of anything I've ever owned in my life than I was at the thought of having you. I had dreams for many years past for a day that would come when I would have to look into those little eyes, the very replica of mine, and your lips, cuddling you so tight as though if I were to leave you for a split second my life would suddenly have less meaning than it did before finding you. I guess its the dream all great father's have: to see their first born son come into life.   I want to write this letter to you to make you understand how much we, I and your mother, know you. We love you very much and we have felt your existence in our lives more than anything we have come to appreciate today. You have been a big part of our life and your coming has opened our world to new horizons. I bet you wonder why its Junior I call you my dear and I would tell you it is your name. I ha

MY PAIN! MY HAPPINESS!

To one fool of a dreamer, reality truly doesn't give a damn about your feelings and that's deep. The cruel reality of knowing so much of your life had been wasted on sincerely loving someone. I'm sitting on my bed with my back against the wall. My pillow wedging my lower back to avert the pain from sitting with a bad posture. I look up at the ceiling to see if I could set my eyes away from the obvious, as though staring at the ceiling would stop me from seeing into my heart. Its some minutes past 11pm and I can't seem to find the grace to sleep or the strength to read my soft copy of "A Game of Thrones" on my tab. I find my hands clutching my chest to see if in doing so I can find a way to ease the pain I feel there. The heart is definitely located in the left thoracic region but how can it be that something so intangible can exert so much pain on the physiology of this organ. I take deep breaths to see if I can ease the stress my feelings impound on my l
